Goal:
To implement technology and the Internet into the campus/district/library using the knowledge and skills gained in the TIF Tech Training.
Support
*Make sure that all staff members have signed and understand the acceptable use policy.
*Provide staff development for all technologies that are available.
*Provide technical support guide book and an online help page to facilitate basic trouble shooting.
Instructional Initiatives
*Staff meetings concerning instructional initiatives.
*Develop a formal scope and sequence for the various technologies to be taught - grade level by grade level and subject by subject.
*Communicate necessary information via workshops, websites, or print media.
*Basic troubleshooting workshops.
*Grade-level survey of training needs.
*Mini-workshops that are grade-level specific.
*Basic computer literacy
Sustainability
*Monthly TIF Tech Team meetings will be conducted to monitor needs and progress.
*Maintain a technical support staff.
*Plan for training of new staff members.
*Budget for replacement, upgrade, and additional infrastructure, including software, hardware, connectivity applications, and maintenance.
Evaluation and periodic review
*Observation of technology use on campus.
*Develop and implement teacher surveys on use on technology applications.
*Comparative analysis of TAAS data.
*Compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
Future possibilities
*Continue to investigate and implement emerging technologies that show promise for improving curriculum, instruction, or student achievement.
*Continue to upgrade and/or replace existing technologies.
*Pursue emerging funding sources, including grants, donations, etc.
